Good Monday evening to you. I'm meteorologist Mo Rose. We're going to take *** look at tonight's forecast and look ahead to the strong to severe storms heading our way midweek. For tonight we're pretty quiet, and tomorrow, lots of sunshine and dry skies. We're going to be seasonably cool, but *** big warm up is coming on Wednesday. Things are going to get windy and by Wednesday night we're talking about strong to severe. Storms tonight, tonight's going to be quiet, just *** little on the cool side. Numbers are going to be dropping overnight into the upper 30s. We are going to slowly see the cloud cover disperse and we'll have clear skies by your Tuesday morning, and that'll make way for lots of sunshine. Temperatures just *** couple of degrees below normal for this time of year, *** high of 61. And that is our calm day before the storms. Wednesday, we're really going to kick it up *** notch. We've got *** severe weather threat and under an enhanced risk for the entire viewing area. And we're going to be on the lookout for damaging wind gusts, isolated tornadoes, and heavy rain, and this is Wednesday night. Looking ahead in the future radar, you'll see *** quiet start to the morning on Wednesday, watching for *** couple of spotty showers in the afternoon. But that main line of storms can be problematic for us, not only because it's happening at night, but it's also looking pretty powerful. *** lot of rain with this. We could have isolated tornadoes and likely damaging wind gusts and also *** lot of rain. This system is going to get hung up over us through the weekend, dropping *** lot of rain over the next 5 days. And so from Wednesday night to Sunday morning we have *** flood watch in effect. We're also going to be keeping an eye on the rivers because we are going to get 7 to about 10 inches of rain in some spots. When this is all said and done, and showing you in the 7 day forecast, this is *** lot of scattered storm activity. Wednesday night being *** severe alert day, 82 degrees and warm. We're going to be *** little cooler on Thursday but still holding on to scattered storms. More shower activity on Friday with temperatures in the 60s, but then we warm back up on Saturday, and that will help fuel more storms in the afternoon. Dialing it back *** little bit on Sunday, temperatures are cooler as well, and then finally drying out on Monday with highs in the mid-50s.
